据悉，短视频平台TikTok属中国科技巨头字节跳动公司（Bytedance）所有，已经有超过160万名澳人下载。全球用户超过10亿人。印度上周宣布禁用TikTok，称这家中国公司对“主权和完整造成威胁”。

It is reported that tiktok, a short video platform owned by Chinese technology giant bytedance, has been downloaded by more than 1.6 million Australians. There are more than one billion users worldwide. India last week banned tiktok, calling the Chinese company a "threat to sovereignty and integrity.".

特雷弗·朗表示，TikTok可获得澳洲用户的姓名、出生日期和当地数据。他说：“面部识别也会上线。我们不得不问谁能获得这些信息。搜索引擎‘谷歌’（Google）和社交媒体‘脸书’（Facebook）和其它美国科技巨头公司也在从全世界数十亿用户中获得同样数据，这并不事关具体的数据或公司，而是政府是否能够获得信息。”
